Taynara Conti reportedly released by WWE
Earlier this week on Wednesday, WWE announced that they would have to release some of their talent as well as furlough other employees. This was as a result of cutting costs due to the still thriving COVID-19 pandemic. So far for the women in-ring talent that have been released are: Sarah Logan, Maria Kanellis, Deonna Purrazzo, and MJ Jenkins. The unfortunate releases continue, this time for Taynara Conti of NXT according to PWInsider’s sources.
Conti was featured in several matches on the NXT brand once the show made its jump to the USA Network and became a live show in September. She also was frequent during their house shows as well.

In January there were rumors of Conti leaving the company due to monetary reasons. She was allegedly suppose to be a part of the number one contender’s Battle Royal that took place, but she left instead. She returned in February to a house show and although she was still participating at live events she didn’t appear back on NXT television. The rumors of her wanting to leave the company at that time were never confirmed.
Conti has been with the company since 2017 and participated in the inaugural Mae Young Classic. She was eliminated in the first round by Lacey Evans.
It has been said by the Wrestling Observer that more cuts will come for the talent. However, although not confirmed by WWE, but the Observer states that the releases that are still to come will not be from the main roster. If the talent are not being used on NXT then more than likely they could see themselves being released – more specifically those that do live shows as they are currently not being used.
Diva Dirt wishes the best for Taynara in her future.
