Final push for Survivor Series raises SmackDown viewership

While the Frida night numbers have been good for WWE and Fox since the end of October, SmackDown did slip slightly last week. But a rebound in most categories for the Survivor Series go home show on Nov. 20 should set minds at ease.

Last night’s average of 2.22 million viewers across both hours is the best overnight audience the show’s drawn since September. Ratings were down slightly with 18 – 34 year olds, but were steady with the under 50 crowd. SmackDown outperformed every other broadcast show except ABC’s Shark Tank in that demo.

And here’s our running tracker of overnight numbers for the new season, but you can access the tab of year one numbers here (all data still via Showbuzz Daily).

Next week should be interesting. It’s the Survivor Series fallout show and it’s Black Friday – although whether that’s a good or bad thing in the midst of a surging pandemic is hard to gauge.
