Mike Bennett: ‘The days of calling fans marks and talking down to them are over’

A plea from Mike Bennett to his fellow wrestlers:

It’s not only hard to argue against that, it’s outright baffling that such outward disdain for the fan base every existed. Far too many pro wrestlers are openly hostile toward the very customers they are relying on to make a living.

These are grown folks pretending to fight each other in their underwear (or some other often ridiculous clothing). The idea that they would act above anyone supporting them is so very, very strange. Yet, it’s been the standard for ages now.

Here’s to hoping more wrestlers follow Bennett’s creed here.

I won’t keep my fingers crossed.
