Tessa Blanchard announces her engagement

Tessa Blanchard has a lot to celebrate as of late. This week she earned the number one contender spot for the IMPACT World Championship. She defeated Brian Cage as the last entrant in a 6-person Elimination Challenge match to earn her chance against Sami Callihan at Hard to Kill on Jan. 12.

This may not have been as much of a shocker to most because it was already announced by IMPACT themselves that Blanchard would be challenging Callihan for the title. She did show impressive counters during her battle by maneuvering her way out of both the Razor’s Edge from the top rope and then Weapon X. In the end, she was able to roll through the Weapon X finisher to get the pin and the victory.

Although this has caused a lot to celebrate, Blanchard has something else to toast the champagne too. She has announced on her Instagram that she is now engaged to fellow IMPACT wrester, Daga. Daga was also in this number one contenders match but he was eliminated prior to Blanchard entering.
