Doesn’t look like it’ll be too long before Karrion Kross is back

We’re waiting to see how current NXT champion Finn Bálor’s recovers from jaw surgery, but the Prince isn’t the only injured recent black-and-gold brand titleholder.

Karrion Kross injured his shoulder winning the NXT belt from Keith Lee back in August, and he was forced to vacate the title. We never got a clear picture of how long Kross was expected to be on the shelf, but some recent videos he and his partner in crime Scarlett have been posting make it seem like he’s not far from a return.

Everyone loves a comeback, but not everyone is willing to do what it takes. We’re getting closer… and he’s about to be the deadliest piece on the board. ♟

Reports indicated Kross would need surgery, but we never got confirmation an operation had occurred. I don’t see any scars here, either, so it’s possible he rehabbing the injury. But who knows? NXT & Kross have done an admirable job maintaining a sense of mystique around him – for example, these training videos from a beach compound in Mexico as opposed to standard photos from the Performance Center or Dr. Andrews’ office in Birmingham.

We’ll see what happens, but based off what we know now, you have to wonder if Kross and Bálor might not be back at about the same time.
