Kris Statlander provides injury update
AEW star, Kris Statlnder has provided fans with an update on her knee injury. In an interview with Wrestling Inc, Statlander revealed that although she is doing well, she could out for a further eight months.
During the interview she said;
“I’m doing pretty good. I think from what I’ve heard overall is that I might be a little bit ahead of others where I’m at right now, but I still have a real long way to go before I can re-debut basically and get back in the ring before I’m debuting again obviously, and I’m going to want to be training a little bit before,” Statlander noted. “So I’ll be able to get in the ring before you’ll see me back on TV. It could be another eight months or so.”
Stadtlander suffered a knee injury when she tore her ACL on the June, 10 episode of AEW Dynamite. The injury occurred when executed a suicide dive on Kip Sabian during a tag team match against Penelope Ford and Nyla Rose.
Statlander has been a huge loss for AEW’s women’s division. Her star power, character and in-ring talent brought fun, life and excitement to the shows. Since she has been gone there has been a lot less vigour to the women’s sections on AEW programming.
Most recenlty Statlander has been a judge on IWTV’s “The Masked Wrestler”
“The Galaxy’s Greatest Alien” made an appearence on “Being the Elite” this week. On the episode, Statander can be seen with a crutch and a heavy bandage around her left knee.
Hopefully, we will get to see Kris Statlander back in the ring and kicking ass real soon.
