Brandi Rhodes says she got into the wrestling industry to be a wrestler
There’s no question that Brandi Rhodes often has criticism when it comes to her in-ring presence. She wants to challenge that criticism by saying that she is in the wrestling business to do just that, and that is to wrestle.
Rhodes had the following to say about her in-ring career to The Wrestling Movement:
“I got into the wrestling industry to be in wrestling to actually wrestle, to manage, to be a part of the on-air team in that way. So it’s something that I had been looking forward to for a very long time, and had known that I was capable of. I just needed the right timing and company and setting – that is what it took for everything to fall together. So it’s been really great. I’ve been enjoying my work with Dynamite and Dark as well, and just continuing to enjoy the ride and take it wherever it needs to go.”
Rhodes has worked for many companies and did the majority of her work with WWE. There she held the position of ring announcer. Most of her in-ring work was done with Ring of Honor before AEW came to be known. She is currently the Chief Brand Officer for AEW along with wrestling often on its programming.
She was recently part of a tag team with Allie known as the Nightmare Sisters.
