Banks vs. Bayley title match set for SmackDown next week

No real surprise here:

That would be Bayley challenging Sasha Banks to a rematch for the SmackDown women’s championship on next week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown. Her reasoning is a bit forced — tying it in with Survivor Series and the fact that she believes Banks can’t beat Raw Women’s Champion Asuka without her, implying she needs to get the title back so she can beat Asuka and represent SmackDown. A feud like this certainly doesn’t need that kind of story tied into it.

But, you know, promoters gotta promote.

Either way, it went official not long after this:

They did indeed tear the house down at Hell in a Cell and we can only hope they are given the chance to do it again in a television match. The last time they wrestled for the title on SmackDown, it ended in a disqualification and was used to set up the pay-per-view match, so confidence isn’t high in that regard but who knows?

WWE may surprise us.
