WWE loads up Nov. 18 NXT with Bálor’s return, Ripley vs. Shirai
USA Network
It’s not Halloween Havoc, but NXT’s next episode is giving us two big attractions that would fit right in on a show bearing an old WCW name.
We haven’t seen NXT champ Finn Bálor in Capitol Wrestling Center since his jaw was broken successfully defending the title against Kyle O’Reilly at TakeOver 31. It’s been an unusually long time for the brand to go without their top championship, but that will change on Nov. 18.
Will Bálor be announcing he’s cleared, or giving up the belt?

Io Shirai is a champion who’s been very active since winning her title back at In Your House. The Japanese Superstar has taken on all comers during her reign, but the one match fans have been itching to see is a one-on-one with Rhea Ripley.
Ripley’s been on a warpath since regrouping after losing the NXT Women’s title to Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 36. When it became clear the Aussie was next for Shirai, most of us figured their match would happen at the planned December TakeOver. We found tonight we won’t have to wait that long. Their match is next week.
