Deonna Purrazzo defeats Su Yung to become a two-time Knockouts Champion
It didn’t take long for Deonna Purrazzo to get her Knockouts Title back in her grasps. Every moment since losing to Su Yung in October at Bound for Glory, Purrazzo has been on a mission to win back the title. At Turning Point, she did just that. The match was No Disqualification as their last encounter resulted in a DQ.
The match definitely took advantage of the stipulation as the action spilled out of the ring. Yung delivers a Pedigree at the top of the ramp. Weapons were scattered around the ring as Yung delivered the red mist at one point and Purrazzo blocked it with an art canvas and follows it up by hitting her over the head with it.
Purrazzo takes advantage of a steel chair as she locks in Venus de Milo while the champions head was stuck in it. This causes Yung to pass out, however, she is able to continue when the referee checks on her. Yung then utilizes a rope to choke Purrazzo as she applied the Mandible Claw.
Purrazzo is able to fight back and in the end, she hits a piledriver to pick up the victory. She ends Yung’s short second Knockouts reign at 21-days. Besides Yung and now Purrazzo, the last woman to hold the title more than once was Allie in 2018 when she defeated Laurel Van Ness.
Purrazzo is going to get a chance to become a double champion as she will be competing with Kimber Lee in the tournament for the returning Knockouts Tag Team Titles. At this time Yung has not been announced for the tournament, but Jordynne Grace still needs a partner. Maybe we will see the return of Susie?
