Jade Cargill on how Chyna taught her to love her body
Jade Cargill is AEW’s latest signing and she certainly turned heads with her big debut last Wednesday on AEW Dynamite.
Cargill sat down with Aubrey Edwards and Tony Schiavone on the AEW Unrestricted podcast. In the interview, Cargill spoke about how Chyna empowered her and gave her more confidence.
“Growing up I’ve always been muscular and I used to always get picked on by guys saying, ‘Oh she looks like a man. She’s too muscular.’ And I remember growing up and watching Chyna and seeing how she just embodied, just loved how she looked, and it just did nothing but empower me and make me say, ‘You know what? I look good. These muscles look great!’”
Cargill then spoke about her fierce silver-haired look.
“I was just sitting around with my friends, and they said, ‘You know what color you should wear? You should wear the silver or the white color.’ And I said, ‘Oh wow! I would love that!’ And they said, ‘You know, you look like Storm.’ I tried it, and I loved it. I love what she stands for. She’s a powerful Black woman, and I think I stand for that same thing.”
Recently Cargill was on AEW Dynamite, taking out Brandi Rhodes while Nyla Rose and Vickie Guerrero held back the referees. It seems as though the three have made a quite formidable trio while continuing the Cody, Brandi and Shaq angle.
During the interview, Cargill also talked about signing with AEW, her college basketball career, her own fitness business, being a mom to her three-year-old daughter and the importance of being a positive role model.
