Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that — rumors. None of this has been confirmed as fact, it’s just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. We track rumor accuracy in a weekly feature called Rumor Look Back you can find here. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • WrestleVotes was told that WWE is considering the following matches for WrestleMania 37: Goldberg vs. Roman Reigns, Edge vs. Randy Orton, and Drew McIntyre vs. Brock Lesnar vs. Keith Lee.
  • Sources have told Ringside News that the above rumor is “bullshit.” Those matches have not been officially pitched, and Vince McMahon isn’t even discussing plans for Royal Rumble 2021 yet.
  • On Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez said there are people in WWE who are “very upset” about WWE Hall of Famer Snoop Dogg’s upcoming appearance at AEW’s New Year’s Smash.
  • PW Insider noted that WWE’s decision to pull Snoop Dogg’s merchandise from their shop has nothing to do with his relationship with AEW.
  • Santana should be returning to AEW Dynamite next week, per F4WOnline’s Dave Meltzer.
