Kenny Omega’s next AEW match will be no DQ
Fresh off a classic match against Laredo Kid at Triplemania XXVIII, Kenny Omega is not resting on his laurels. He will be stepping back into the ring on Wednesday night for a special challenge on AEW Dynamite.
The AEW World Champ was pestered by paparazzi at the airport. Omega confessed his confusion by social media criticism that called him overrated and not a true champion. Omega decided to silence those doubters by giving Joey Janela a chance for redemption after being pulled from their previously scheduled singles bout in the #1 contender tournament. Omega is so confident in victory that he will lend Janela a helping hand by allowing no DQ rules.

The match has been made official for Dynamite.
Omega won the Eliminator Tournament to become #1 contender to the #AEW World Title. His scheduled quarterfinals opponent Joey Janela couldn’t participate due to safety protocols. Nice promo from Omega. I love how he oozes arrogance. His delivery is entertaining and yet the content still makes me root for his demise. It will be interesting to see how Omega twists the rules, or lack thereof, to his advantage as a weasel. We all know Janela won’t be winning, but the intrigue is still there on behalf of seeing Omega perform with his heel persona.
