The Dusty Classic returns in two weeks

During the Breezango vs. Grizzled Young Veterans tag match during the first hour of the Dec. 30 episode WWE NXT, the brand announced the return of this (mostly) annual tag tournament – The Dusty Rhodes Classic.

We’re light on details so far, but the winner of the Dusty Cup will once again win a shot at the NXT Tag Team championship, currently held by Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch.

This winners of tonight’s Year-End Award for Best Tag Team of 2020 will be in the field, but Undisputed ERA won’t enter the Dusty in the same formation as years past. With Bobby Fish injured and Kyle O’Reilly pursuing singles gold, it’ll be Adam Cole & Roderick Strong in the field this year.

Who will follow Riddle & Pete Dunne (and Finn Bálor & Samoa Joe, AOP, Cole & O’Reilly, and Aleister Black & Ricochet) as winners of the Dusty Cup?

We’ll start to find out when the tourney starts on Jan. 13, 2021.
