Owens has a SPINAL CONTUSION, per WWE

Kevin Owens was the subject of a beatdown at the hands of both Roman Reigns and Jey Uso on Friday Night SmackDown this week, enough of one that WWE is reporting on injuries he suffered in said attack.

As usual, the promotion made it sound as dramatic as possible (via WWE.com):

After the attack by Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Jey Uso on Friday Night SmackDown, Kevin Owens was taken to a local medical facility where he was diagnosed with a spinal contusion and bruised kidneys.

Something about just how dramatic WWE makes it sound when they’re really just saying a wrestler is banged up will always crack me up.

Owens keeps losing to Reigns in Universal title matches and WWE keeps booking him in even more. TLC, where he lost a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match, felt like a good spot to blow the feud off but this sure makes it sound like he’s going to get one more crack at the crown.

You know, if the SPINAL CONTUSION doesn’t keep him on the shelf.
