STARDOM make history at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 15
STARDOM made history once again at Japan’s biggest wrestling event of the year. For the second year running members of the STARDOM roster participated in matches at NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom 15.
Two STARDOM tag team matches opened the show in front of a sold-out crowd in the legendary Tokyo Dome on Jan 5. The first was Mayu Iwatani and Tam Nakano vs Giulia and Syuri. The second was Utami Hayashishita, AZM and Saya Kamitani vs Maika, Himeka and Natsupoi.
In the opening match Saya Kamitani, AZM and Utami defeated Donna Del Mondo’s Maika, Natsupoi and Himeka.
In the second match Giulia and Syuri defeated Tam Nakano and Mayu Iwatani.
History was made at last year’s event when STARDOM performed at a Wrestle Kingdom show for the first time. This year the promotion broke ground once again as it was the first time that two women’s matches featured on the show.
Unfortunately, the matches were only available to those in attendance but hopefully next year the athletes of STARDOM will feature more prominently.
All at Diva Dirt would like to congratulate STARDOM on another history making year at the Tokyo Dome.
