Candice Michelle says WWE ‘falsely promoted’ her return for Legends Night

This week’s (Jan. 4) “Legends Night” episode of Raw achieved its purpose of boosting WWE viewership numbers. The primary legends promoted for the episode included Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, and Torrie Wilson.

Plenty of other legends were also featured in promotional content for the episode, but some of these past stars did not make an appearance during the broadcast. A few examples include Kurt Angle, Carlito, and Candice Michelle.

During an interview with The Wrestling Inc. Daily podcast, Michelle explained that WWE falsely promoted her return:

“It was falsely promoted. I was never asked to be there. I would have loved to be there. I love WWE anytime they call me, super honored to go there and be called a legend. And as we know, for whatever rhyme or reason, I just wasn’t meant for that show…”

Candice goes on to explain that she didn’t even know a Legends Night was happening until Torrie Wilson told her about it.

This is not the first time over the last week that WWE has engaged in false advertising. It’s just very confusing why WWE would even bother falsely advertising one of the more obscure names on the list of returning legends for this episode. It doesn’t speak well at all to WWE’s cohesiveness, organization, and communication behind the scenes.
