Your weekly update of AEW stars in Impact Wrestling (grunting included)
Time for your weekly update for the goings-on of Kenny Omega and Tony Khan in Impact Wrestling.
Impact held their go-home TV episode heading toward the Hard to Kill PPV on January 16. With the headliner of Kenny Omega & the Good Brothers versus Rich Swann & the Motor City Machine Guns, you knew there would be a physical encounter in play. And that’s exactly what happened to close the show.
The main event of the evening was set to be Rich Swann against Karl Anderson in singles action. Kenny Omega, Luke Gallows, Chris Sabin, and Alex Shelley were all banned from ringside. Earlier in the show, the Bullet Club were in their bus discussing the need for Anderson to give them momentum with a win.

Unfortunately for Anderson, he couldn’t get the job done. Swann escaped a Stun Gun to counter for a roll-up victory.
That led to Omega and Gallows leaving their bus to attack Sabin and Shelley. Swann and Anderson joined the fracas. Hard punches and loud grunts went all around.
THEY’RE NOT WAITING UNTIL #HardToKill!
A CHAOTIC brawl ensued between @KennyOmegamanX, The Good Brothers, @GottaGetSwann and The Motor City Machine Guns as IMPACT went off the air. #IMPACTonAXSTV @SuperChrisSabin @fakekinkade @MachineGunKA @The_BigLG pic.twitter.com/56r4FcC9CC

Hmm, that was pretty soft for a chaotic brawl. It was like Impact told them not to break anything by accident, because they don’t have the money to replace it.
Speaking of money, Tony Khan returned with another paid commercial to put cash in Impact’s pocket. Khan put himself over for AEW’s involvement with Impact. He also provided thoughts about the Good Brothers appearing on Dynamite last week.

Tony Khan: Speaking of Impact Wrestling, Don, it was great for the Good Brothers to show up on AEW Dynamite. I really enjoyed it. I’m not sure what’s so good about them. And, actually Tony, I don’t even think they’re real brothers, but they do have a following. So, Impact Wrestling, congratulations, because you did at least one thing right in 2020. So, Impact Wrestling, feel free to send the Good Brothers, Don Callis, anybody you want tomorrow night.
Did Kenny Omega’s latest appearance do anything to entice you to buy the Hard to Kill PPV on January 16? Or were you already sold? Like that game of guessing jelly beans in a jar, what’s your guess for how many grunts were in that brawl?
