Dark Side of the Ring season three kicks off with a Stone Cold appearance

Dark Side of the Ring season two was a hit, and Vice is looking to make the upcoming third season of their documentary series even bigger.

Toward that end, they has one of the biggest stars in wrestling history announce the topic of the premiere – the short, brilliant career and tragic death of Brian Pillman. Stone Cold Steve Austin broke the news as a guest on Vice’s Cari & Jemele (Won’t) Stick To Sports with Cari Champion & Jemele Hill:

Stone Cold also revealed he’ll be featured as an interview subject on the episode. Austin and Pillman were friends, and worked together often before Pillman died of heart failure in 1997 at age 35.

No premiere date was announced, but you’ve got to figure this means we’re getting close. Other season three episodes will cover The Dynamite Kid, Grizzly Smith, Bruiser Bedlam, XPW, and the WCW/NJPW show in North Korea.
