Impact’s Knockouts champs want a piece of AEW
Whatever we’re calling what’s going on between AEW/Impact… arrangement? partnership? collaboration? … last week it hit some serious milestones.
Impact Tag champions Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows wrestled on the Jan. 13 Dynamite alongside AEW World champ Kenny Omega, won, then brawled with Jon Moxley. On Saturday night at Hard to Kill, Omega pinned Impact World champ Rich Swann in trios action.
So what’s next? While there figures to fallout from the men’s action last week, it might be the women of Impact and AEW who get the next round of headlines. Coming out of the PPV weekend, all of Impact Women’s titleholders seemed to be looking outside the company for future fights.
After submitting Taya Valkyrie to keep her Knockouts title, Deonna Purrazzo wants to break more arms. She doesn’t care who those arms are connected to, or who cashes their paychecks, either.

Newly crowned Knockouts Tag champions Fire & Flava were even more direct. In Tasha Steelz & Kiera Hogan’s first promo since winning the tournament for the new belts, Steelz not only spoke right to Tony Khan, she took at shot at AEW’s Deadly Draw and the “participation medals” Ivelisse & Diamante got for winning that tourney.

What do you think? Are these just words, or is Impact about to jump in the scene along with the NWA to give NXT some competition for the best women’s wrestling on Wednesday nights?
