Belair wants to make history with Banks at WrestleMania 37

WrestleMania 37 will take place on April 10 & 11 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, a two night spectacle that will give us two separate headliners for each of the two nights. It’s at least possible one of those headliners could be SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks, and if that’s the case Bianca Belair wants in on making history.

Because, as she told Sporting News, it would be historic in multiple ways:

“Everything I have approached in WWE I do it looking for a purpose. When I think about a dream match, Sasha Banks would definitely be at the top of my list. And to think about headlining WrestleMania with Sasha Banks, that would be more than just a match. It’s more than having a great match with an effort to tear the house down. Nah, that’s top-level representation that will go down in the history books for multiple reasons. It gives me goosebumps. That would be a dream come true not just for me, but for many people. That would be a very special night, and I can’t even explain what it would mean to me. … I just want it to happen. It’s not just to feed my ego. It would be a part of Black history.”

It would represent the first time women would headline a WrestleMania event as well as the first time two black women would headline. That level of representation has never been seen in WWE before.

Belair, who has an episode of WWE Chronicle all about her premiering on WWE Network today, is a favorite to win the Royal Rumble one week from today. Banks is the current SmackDown women’s champion.

You never know.
