RAW Discussion Post: 08.31.20
Within seven days and two pay-per-views later we have Asuka as RAW Women’s Champion yet again from SummerSlam and new Women’s Tag Team Champions from Payback. Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler captured the tag titles at Payback from Sasha Banks and Bayley. Banks has lost both her titles in a week’s timeframe.
Banks and Bayley may be regulated to the SmackDown brand unless they intend on getting a re-match for the tag titles. With both Jax and Baszler as former thoughts to take on Asuka next for the title, who may step up now to face her?
Will Baszler and Jax be able to co-exist or will this just end up being a short reign?
The newly reformed Riott Squad also received a victory on the Payback Kickoff show as they defeated their rivals The IIconics. Are these two teams through with each other or will they continue tonight on RAW?
Last week Mickie James received some retribution from her controversial count-out loss from her in-ring return. Lana and Natalya mocked James on her accomplishments and gave her a “Hall of Fame Induction.” When nothing showed up on the screen to show James’ accomplishment in a video package, James made her way to the ring to take out both women.
Today happens to be Mickie James’ birthday. Will we see the legend in action tonight?
