Renee Young’s newfound freedom is already good for AEW
Renee Young recently left WWE, where she spent eight years working in various capacities making herself a legitimate media star. Outside of doing some work with FOX and a cookbook, we don’t know what will come next for her. That includes the potential to join her husband, Jon Moxley, in AEW.
It’s been made clear she has an extensive non-compete that will prevent her from officially doing anything for any pro wrestling company anytime soon but her newfound freedom is already a good thing for AEW if only because she’s now allowed to actively acknowledge the promotion exists.
That leads to fun stuff like this:
Very excited to watch my very handsome husband beat the hell out of that dork @The_MJF

Which is even more fun because it led to this:
This is a man’s game, babe. You’ll get there one day
— Renee Paquette (@ReneePaquette) September 6, 2020
That is, of course, referring to the fact that Moxley defeated MJF to retain the AEW world championship in the main event of All Out by beating him at his own game. It’s pretty great for all parties that Renee is now allowed to actually talk about it and even get involved in some small way.
