Jessika Carr moving to Friday Night SmackDown
NXT’s resident and the company’s first female referee is making her way to Friday Night SmackDown. Previously this would be seen as a call up to the “main roster” but as NXT is being billed as a third equal brand this will be a lateral move for her.
This news came after she officiated the main event on this week’s NXT in a match between Tommaso Ciampa vs. Finn Balor. After the match, Ciampa would make the announcement that Carr is making the move.
Carr would then enter the ring and grab a mic to say a few exiting words. Her words would include thanking her fellow “zebras” for being the best and supporting her. She adds that in her doing this job she hopes it can inspire other women to do whatever it is they want to do.
