NXT gives the ‘what’ of Undisputed ERA’s injuries, not the ‘how’ & ‘why’

WWE.com

Matt Camp is back to tell us how Bobby Fish & Roderick Strong are doing after they were attacked backstage on the Oct. 21 edition of NXT. It’s the standard generic status update he gives for kayfabe injuries on his weekly Injury Report.

But the questions we want answered are who exactly attacked them, and why. We know the broad strokes… Pat McAfee and probably new Tag champs Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch were involved. But did they actually do it themselves, or do they have other accomplices? Is blocking Undisputed ERA from once again making the “Prophecy of Gold” a reality enough, or do they have more planned for Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, Fish & Strong? What role did Ridge Holland’s destruction of Cole play in their plan?

In his post match comments, McAfee teased but didn’t deliver answers:

“This is the start of something very special. And a lot of people are wondering ‘how did we get here?’ We will get to that at some point. Just know that us three are the new kings of this brand. Us three are unstoppable. Us three are nowhere near done with what we’re gonna do to all of NXT. Have a great night. We’re the greatest. You suck. Cheers.”

When will answers come? Will we see some of “nowhere near done” next Wednesday at Halloween Havoc?

While you’re mulling that over, here’s Camp’s full report and a list of what it covers:

  • Bobby Fish: knee injury evaluated at local medical facility; uncleared and week-to-week
  • Roderick Strong: multiple injuries evaluated at local medical facility; uncleared and week-to-week
  • Tommaso Ciampa: undisclosed injury(s) from Velveteen Dream hitting him in the head with a cast and Kushida German suplexing him right after; day-to-day
