Serena Deeb dethrones Thunder Rosa to snag the NWA World Women’s Title

Thunder Rosa’s impressive title reign with the NWA World Women’s Championship has come to an end. Rosa won the title in January by defeating Allysin Kay at NWA’s Hard Times. Serena Deeb defeated her tonight on UWN Prime Time Live.

Rosa has been defending the title on both UWN and AEW against the likes of Priscilla Kelly and Ivelisse. Deeb was able to take down the impressive champion at 278-days. Deeb and Rosa competed against each other in a non-title match on AEW Dynamite in September that Rosa was successful. This was a nice preview for the match that took place tonight for the title.

Although Rosa has been competing on AEW on numerous occasions, she hasn’t officially been signed. Deeb officially signed with AEW in September. With Deeb becoming champion, this has already caught the eye of NWA’s Kamille.

JUST ANNOUNCED:

Deeb will already be putting her newly won NWA title on the line as she faces Leyla Hirsch on AEW’s Dynamite on Wednesday. Hirsch was just seen in her debut on AEW Dark in a losing effort against the AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida in a non-title match-up.
