Bella Twins prove their wrestling cred by teasing a comeback

So if Brie and Nikki Bella really want to silence the critics who write them off a nothing more than models from the Divas era, the twins are going to have to make like Terry Funk and Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels and Edge and Trish Stratus and…

You get the idea.

The WWE Hall of Famers know it, too. As part of promotion for the new season of Total Bellas, they’re talking “one more run.”

It started with some tweets:

And continued while talking to Kit Hoover & Mario Lopez (of kick-ass Halloween costume fame, among other things) on Access, where Brie said:

“See, this is what’s hard for Nikki and I. When we left, all of a sudden the WWE Women’s Tag Titles came and we’re like, ‘Wait a sec, that’s for the Bella twins. We’ve been dying to have tag titles.’ And so her and I feel like we have one more run in us, and really want to go for those tag titles.”

Nikki, who retired in part due to neck issues, smiled and nodded.
