Two tweets gave us the best women’s feud in AEW history
Thunder Rosa’s Twitter
Yesterday (Nov. 13), AEW announced that Serena Deeb would defend the NWA Women’s title against Thunder Rosa on Dynamite this upcoming Wednesday. Rosa, who is under contract to Billy Corgan’s NWA, is also booked for next Tuesday’s Dark.
AEW’s handling of their women’s division remains a hot topic among wrestling fans, and that Rosa and the NWA belt continue to get as much if not more television time than the company’s own title and roster is noteworthy.
It’s also the backdrop of the ‘Reality’ Era shots Britt Baker and Rosa exchanged after the Mexican star hyped herself and her rematch with Deeb on Twitter.
Stop faking your own internet buzz and go back to wrestling exclusively on the internet. You aren’t half the star you think you are and you don’t have half the face for TV. https://t.co/mP6o83bDFX

Interesting thing is…. I did more than others(you) with one minute promo in your company that you have done the whole year. Keep trolling cabrona because I have putazos for you too #realstar #realchamp #fuckwithme #lameramera #realwrestler #nwa #realtalk https://t.co/RPubcjpf0f

There’s plenty of material to play “work or shoot?” with there, and enough vitriol to make us wonder if there’s real heat behind the jabs.
It’s also instantly more compelling than just about any women’s program AEW’s ever run. Hikaru Shida & Nyla Rose are probably the longest feud in the company’s history but they have never been given much of a story to go with it (and one EVP thinks it didn’t need one). And Brandi Rhodes continues to try to make her character happen, but it’s still not working for a lot of people – this writer included.
I’m not sure a Britt Baker/Thunder Rosa match would be good, but with less than 560 characters, they’ve convinced me they actually dislike each other. That’s an important part of a compelling program, and one Ivelisse match aside, is something that’s been missing from AEW’s women’s scene.
So I’m sold. And it doesn’t look like I’m alone…

I’ll add my GIF reaction…
And ask y’all – is this the start of AEW’s first great women’s feud?
