This looks like Raw’s next big feud
We’re gearing up for Survivor Series, where the champions of Raw and SmackDown square off for the right to say things that don’t really matter all that much. Bragging rights and all that. And, sure, Drew McIntyre vs. Roman Reigns is an intriguing matchup if only because those two have done an absurdly good job of making their interactions compelling, but after Sunday night they go their separate ways.
McIntyre is also done with Randy Orton, or at least one would think. So what’s next?
For a couple weeks now, WWE has been teasing something between McIntyre and Sheamus. They have been playing up the brotherly bond between the two but it seems clear this is going somewhere.
Here’s what McIntyre had to say about it to SI:
“I met Sheamus when I was 19,” said McIntyre. “We exaggerated the truth on Raw with the chest and the sword, but our history is real. He’s known my family for so long that he’s one of us, and he was the best man at my wedding.
“I’ve got the title back, I’ve got my kilt and a sword, and I love how we started that story with Sheamus. I’m excited to see where we go next.”
What better way to get through the end of 2020 and into Royal Rumble than some old friends who hit hard getting after each other?
