It looks like Adam Pearce saved Bayley’s streak
12 unique performers competed in a match on the main card of Hell in a Cell 2020.
With that in mind, let’s take a look at which performers have currently wrestled on the most consecutive pay-per-view (PPV) events at the conclusion of October 2020. The only rules are that the superstar must have wrestled for more than zero seconds on the main card of the PPV (sorry, pre-show fans), typical 24/7 title shenanigans will be ignored, and events in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are omitted from this exercise.
Here are the active streaks coming out of this pay-per-view:
- 8 events – Bayley
- 4 events – Randy Orton
- 3 events – Bobby Lashley, Roman Reigns
- 2 events – Jeff Hardy, Drew McIntyre, Jey Uso
- 1 event – Elias, Otis, Miz, Banks, SLAPJACK
And here are the streaks that ended at Hell in a Cell:
- 2 events – Apollo Crews
- 1 event – Styles, Zayn, Asuka, Vega, Dawkins, Ford, Andrade, Garza
It’s going to be difficult for this list to see much growth with only 12 superstars competing on the monthly pay-per-view.
Bayley’s Hell in a Cell match against Sasha Banks extended her streak to eight events, but she is more vulnerable to missing future pay-per-view cards now that she is no longer the women’s champion. We’re on the eve of Survivor Series, and it took until the go home episode of SmackDown for five-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion Adam Pearce to step in and add Bayley to the event. Therefore it looks like her streak is safe for now.
What do you think about this list of active streaks, Cagesiders? Which wrestler is most likely to fall off the list at Survivor Series?
