McIntyre vs. Styles is now a TLC match

This past week on Monday Night Raw, AJ Styles won a triple threat match against both Matt Riddle and Keith Lee, who had all previously won singles matches to get to that point, for the right to challenge Drew McIntyre for the WWE championship at the upcoming TLC pay-per-view on Dec. 20, 2020, at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. At the time the match was announced, it was just a singles match.

That has since quietly changed.

Indeed, WWE is now advertising the bout as a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match. This means both major title matches — Roman Reigns vs. Kevin Owens for the Universal championship being the other — will be TLC matches.

Here’s the full card for the show so far:

  • Drew McIntyre (c) vs. AJ Styles (WWE championship TLC match)
  • Roman Reigns (c) vs. Kevin Owens (Universal championship TLC match)
  • Sasha Banks (c) vs. Carmella (SmackDown women’s championship)
  • Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler (c) vs. Asuka & Lana (Women’s tag team championship)
  • Bray Wyatt vs. Randy Orton
