Red Velvet victorious as Shanna makes it two wins in a row on AEW Dark

Shanna AEW Dark

AEW Dark offered up another stacked show that featured six women’s matches.

Let’s get to the action;

The first of these matches saw The Native Beast, Nyla Rose take on The Pink Dream, Alex Gracia. Gracia was not intimidated by Rose and attacked with a flurry of strikes. Despite all of Gracia’s fire, Rose would gain control with a shoulder tackle and quickly finish her off with a Beast-Bomb for the win.

After the match, Vickie Guerrero cut a promo in which she called Brandi Rhodes the “Chief Bullshit Officer of AEW”. Rhodes seems to be the focus of the Vicious Vixens as of late as this was the third time in as many weeks they have targetted her.

The Waiting Room returned this week and featured Britt Baker interviewing Dustin Rhodes and a musical performance by Marko Stunt.

Next up was Red Velvet vs Dani Jordyn.

The Real Mean Girl, Jordyn made her entrance that little bit extra as fully channelled the mean girls on her way to the ring in brilliant fashion.

Velvet and Jordyn would go back and forth exchanging some great offence. Velvet would prevail with a lovely sequence of moves including a bulldog, standing moonsault, Northern Lights Suplex and a running kick for another well-earned victory.

The next match saw Skyler Moore return to AEW Dark to take on La Sicaria, Ivelisse.

The two would exchange an array of strikes, holds and pinfall attempts in this highly-physical encounter. Moore gave as good as she got but Ivelisse submission prowess would overcome her and she was forced to tap out with a modified Sugar Hold.

Big Swole vs Lindsay Snow was up next and it was just as hard-hitting as expected.

Both competitors would feel each other out from the get-go with each encounter getting more aggressive. Snow looked really good here and gave Swole a run her money but a Swole would pick up a hard-fought win with a crucifix pin.

The fifth women’s match of the night had Diamante taking on Tesha Price.

Price has been impressive in her previous AEW Dark appearances and this match was no different. She got the better of Diamante with a clothesline, who then answered back with a German Suplex. Diamante would pepper Price a barrage of strikes and chin lock before putting away with a Code Red for her first singles win since July.

Last and certainly not least Shanna took on AEW Dark debutant, Freya States.

Freya towered over Shanna and overpowered her early on but the Portugese striker would manage to get her off her feet. Shanna would continue to apply the pressure on her intimidating opponent until the power factor came into play once again. Freya played the monster heel really well in this match while Shanna was good as the gutsy babyface. Shanna would eventually wear down Freya enough with an array of kicks to hit a bridging Tiger Suplex for the win.

That wraps it up for another exciting edition of AEW Dark and we’ll be back next week for another results recap.
