Bayley’s pay-per-view streak is in jeopardy
30 unique performers competed in a match on the main card of Survivor Series 2020.
With that in mind, let’s take a look at which performers have currently wrestled on the most consecutive pay-per-view (PPV) events at the conclusion of November 2020. The only rules are that the superstar must have wrestled for more than zero seconds on the main card of the PPV (sorry, pre-show fans), typical 24/7 title shenanigans will be ignored, and events in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are omitted from this exercise.
Here are the active streaks coming out of this pay-per-view:
- 9 events – Bayley
- 4 events – Bobby Lashley, Roman Reigns
- 3 events – Drew McIntyre, Jey Uso
- 2 events – Otis, Sasha Banks
- 1 event – Styles, Strowman, Lee, Riddle, Sheamus, Owens, Corbin, Rollins, Ford, Dawkins, Woods, Kingston, Zayn, Asuka, Evans, Lana, Royce, Jax, Baszler, Belair, Morgan, Riott, Natalya
And here are the streaks that ended at Survivor Series:
- 4 events – Randy Orton
- 2 events – Jeff Hardy
- 1 event – Elias, Miz, SLAPJACK
The biggest tragedy in November’s results is that SLAPJACK’s legendary streak of wrestling on one consecutive event ended at Survivor Series. He had an incredible run that included the greatest match in the history of our sport at Hell in a Cell. For reasons that I cannot comprehend, SLAPJACK was left off the Survivor Series card. Therefore the most famous streak in the history of sports entertainment is now over.
Looking ahead, Bayley’s streak of nine consecutive events is in jeopardy tonight at TLC 2020. She is not currently booked for a match on the card, and it’s unlikely that five-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion Adam Pearce has an incentive to save Bayley’s streak once again. Perhaps Asuka reads this column and will step in and choose Bayley as her mystery partner against Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler.
What do you think about this list of active streaks, Cagesiders? Which wrestler is most likely to fall off the list at TLC?
