The head of all tables
The match
Roman Reigns defends the Universal championship against Kevin Owens in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match at tonight’s (Sun., Dec. 20, 2020) WWE TLC pay-per-view (PPV) from the ThunderDome at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida.
The story
This started with Reigns formally calling himself the “Tribal Chief” and running Jey Uso into the ground until he acknowledged him as the “Head of the Table.” Uso, attempting to make the family proud, was embarrassed when Team SmackDown was swept by Team Raw at Survivor Series. Kevin Owens was also on that team.
In an attempt to make good, Uso attacked Owens during a match that led to a disqualification. Owens, of course, came back just as hard and ultimately went after Reigns.
There have been some powerful moments in there, like Reigns getting KO’s own family involved:
It became a TLC match the next week, because that’s the gimmick of the PPV, of course, but it also actually fits the bill considering where they’ve gone with the build.
Who wins?
