I’m scared for Randy Orton
I had my issues with the Firefly Inferno Match at TLC. This was mostly due to WWE not explaining the stipulation to us in advance, and the match then not being worked a in logical way if either man really wanted to win – just squirt your opponent lighter fluid and start trying to get near them with a lighter!
But hey, if you were better able to go with it and enjoy a head-punting, house-burning psycho vs. the supernatural manifestation of someone’s inner trauma, I ain’t mad atcha. At least we all got a good laugh out of Randy Orton setting a Fiend mannequin ablaze and hitting his signature pose against a backdrop of fire.
Regardless, I think more of us agree that what happened on the fallout episode of Raw was creepy good fun. Alexa Bliss’ return was something right out of a J-horror classic – complete with a teleporting swingset! The warning she issued to Orton about Bray Wyatt’s next transformation made me forget my quibbles from TLC and start hoping we’re going to get to see Lil Miss Bliss deliver a Sister Abigail to The Viper.
WWE seems to know this. It’s the only thing they’re promoting for the Dec. 28 episode of Raw.
Hope you’re done with your Mandalorian binge by Monday night, Randy.
