We’ll find out McIntyre’s next WWE title challenger on Raw tonight

Just last week, Sheamus, Keith Lee, and Drew McIntyre were teaming up for a main event six-man tag team match that saw the trio defeat AJ Styles, The Miz, and John Morrison. Immediately after, Sheamus attacked Lee, much to the dismay of McIntyre.

Now, WWE has announced a match between Sheamus and Lee for this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw with the winner receiving a shot at the WWE championship McIntyre still holds.

They don’t specify when that match will take place, but the next pay-per-view on the schedule is the Royal Rumble event set for Jan. 31, 2021. We’re still a month away from that but they’ve been working up to a Sheamus vs. McIntyre match for some time and giving it another four weeks of build certainly wouldn’t be a negative.

That’s assuming Sheamus wins, of course. It’s entirely possible Lee is getting a push here. We’ll just have to wait and see.
