The best NXT TakeOver matches of 2020

Throughout the year, we asked you to tell us the best match of the night following each and every NXT TakeOver – which in 2020 meant from Portland to WarGames. It gave us all a chance to advocate for the bout we enjoyed the most. And it gives us a chance to look back on the year that was for the black-and-gold brand.

The advent of special event episodes now that NXT goes head-to-head with AEW Dynamite most weeks means there’s more great action not captured here than in year’s past. But this is still a distillation of some of the best wrestling Triple H & team served up to us over the last 12 months.

Interesting that for all the hype surrounding NXT’s women’s division, only one women’s match was voted Best of the Night by the cSs community. And for all the flak Charlotte’s run as champ gets, this admittedly-pretty-unscientific measure indicates she did bring attention to the brand.
