I’m very confused by Reigns’ special request

WWE’s advertising for this week’s (Jan. 1) episode of SmackDown first included the return of Seth Rollins. Within a few days, Seth’s return was silently dropped from their previews. WWE instead advertised that Roman Reigns was going to make a special request of WWE management.

SmackDown is now over and I’m very confused, because I’m pretty sure that Reigns failed to make any such request.

Roman was pissed off when five-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion Adam Pearce granted Kevin Owens a match against Jey Uso in the main event of the show. Owens won that match. Reigns ambushed Owens and beat his ass as the show went off the air.

There was no special request.

So WWE didn’t deliver on Seth’s return or Roman’s request. But on the bright side, at least Sonya Deville is back!
