AEW Fallout: More Brodie Lee tributes, Tony Khan buying music rights, more!
AEW Dynamite (Dec. 30, 2020) was all about celebrating the life of Brodie Lee. Fallout includes more tribute videos, Tony Khan making a magnificent gesture in buying music rights, as well as other goodies.
Dynamite featured several personal tributes throughout. AEW posted a couple additional tributes. Frankie Kazarian, Dustin Rhodes, Jerry Lynn, and Christopher Daniels shared tales illustrating Brodie’s genuine care for his fellow wrestlers. In particular, Kaz was touched when Brodie broke the second rope and thought to warn Kaz for his safety.

Wardlow spoke about Brodie being a perfect example of how the scariest men in professional wrestling are often the kindest. Wardlow also shared how much Brodie appreciated winning the TNT Championship.

In the post-show with Tony Schiavone (here), Lance Archer, Cody Rhodes, Dr. Britt Baker DMD, Jess Palombo, and Anna Jay shared stories of Brodie. Cody told a tale about how Brodie often joked about buying the boys lunch when it was actually catering.
To accompany Cody’s story, the photo of Brodie chowing on Zaxby’s was shared. You may have to click on the tweet itself to see Brodie’s comical expression.

In a very cool gesture, Tony Khan actually purchased the music rights so the tribute can live on forever.
Thank you everyone who joined us tonight on #AEWDynamite to celebrate the life of Jon Huber, known to fans as Mr. Brodie Lee. It was a great honor to host his family Amanda, Brodie & Nolan. I bought the rights to Ol’ 55 by Tom Waits in perpetuity so that tribute will last forever

Three other matches caught my eye. Fenix versus Aaron Solow should be rocking. One wrestler will pick up their first win in Fuego del Sol against Danny Limelight. It is possible that Fuego could finally hit a tornado DDT for victory (a recurring gag in Sammy Guevara’s vlog), however, it is more likely that Limelight’s string of entertaining matches earned him a promotion to the pay window. For NWA fans, Ashley Vox will do battle with Thunder Rosa.
