Impact Wrestling’s Good Brothers invade AEW and destroy everyone

AEW presented night one of New Year’s Smash on tonight’s (Jan. 6) episode of Dynamite.

The main event saw Kenny Omega successfully defend the AEW world championship against Rey Fenix. After the match was over, Jon Moxley came out to get a piece of Omega’s ass with a barbed wire baseball bat.

Mox briefly had the advantage, but then he was suddenly ambushed by the Good Brothers, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, who are the Impact Wrestling tag team champions:

Omega grabbed the bat and pounded Moxley into oblivion. This went on for a long time with zero help coming from AEW wrestlers in the back, even though special commentator Chris Jericho was screaming about a hostile takeover.

All the ringside jabronis eventually tried to help, but the Good Brothers destroyed all of them. That’s when the Young Bucks came out and tried to defuse the situation. They didn’t appear to be on the same page with Omega and the Good Brothers at first.

But then Griff Garrison and Brian Pillman Jr. tried to get their hands on Omega, and the Young Bucks used a sudden superkick to defend their Elite friend.

That’s when the hand signal went up, and the Bucks joined in with their former Bullet Club stablemates:

Does this mean the Young Bucks, who are Executive Vice Presidents of AEW along with Omega and Cody Rhodes, actually endorse a hostile takeover of AEW from Impact Wrestling?
