Sasha Banks named 2020’s Wrestler of the Year by Sports Illustrated
Sports Illustrated (SI) released its top 10 best wrestlers in the world list for 2020. SI compiled this list from a year like no other to give the talent that entertained us the credit where credit is due. Unlike past years, SI decided not to break the list down per gender. This particular author of the list states that “a great wrestler is a great wrestler” and in a world where we strive for equality, Diva Dirt agrees.
The coveted top spot goes to none other than Sasha Banks. It is no surprise that The Boss topped the list as she had an incredible year. She participated on all three brands and also held three different titles throughout 2020.
Banks may have taken the top spot but she wasn’t the only woman on the list. Io Shirai took the seventh spot and Bayley squeaked out one spot above her at number six.
The full list is as follows:
- 10. Eddie Kingston
- 9. Roman Reigns
- 8. Kota Ibushi
- 7. Io Shirai
- 6. Bayley
- 5. Kenny Omega
- 4. Tetsuya Naito
- 3. Drew McIntyre
- 2. Jon Moxley
