Madison Rayne officially announces her retirement
Rumors were swirling that Madison Rayne was going to officially step back from wrestling and hang up her boots. She had already had her last match on the indie scene at an event for Warrior Wrestling where she faced Kylie Rae. Rayne announced this on the Hard to Kill preshow and in a tearful message, she said she is leaving the Knockouts division in good hands.
After 12-years she announces “with a full and grateful heart” that she is stepping away from the industry to be a wife, a mother, and move on with her life. In her time with IMPACT, Rayne has become a five-time Knockouts Champion and a two-time Knockouts Tag Team Champion. She certainly has earned the veteran status in the business and is a legend in IMPACT.
For the past two-years after returning to the company from Ring of Honor, Rayne has done both work in the ring and as a side-by-side commentator next to her husband, Josh Mathews. She was the first female to be a permanent fixture on commentary for IMPACT.
Everyone at Diva Dirt wants to wish the best for Madison’s future and thank her for her dedication to the industry. #ThankYouMadison
