Young Rock’s mustache is the breakout star of the Young Rock teaser

When Dwayne Johnson tweeted this out over the weekend, I was hoping for a little bit more of a glimpse of Brett Azar’s Iron Sheik.

Hell, I was hoping for a little bit more of anything. Though billed by some as a trailer, this is very much just a teaser for Young Rock, the upcoming NBC sitcom that dramatizes Johnson’s come-up at three different points.

But we don’t get Azar’s Sheik-y baby. Nor do we see Wayne Mattie’s Sgt. Slaughter, Matthew Willig’s Andre The Giant, or (for football fans, or just people wondering how in the hell they’re going depict life at The U during the 1980s in a family-friendly show) Rich Morrow’s Michael Irvin. But we do Joseph Lee Anderson as Rocky Johnson. And lots of 15 and 20 year old DJ’s sweet, sweet ‘stache…

Hopefully we’ll see Rocky learn what a jabroni is when Young Rock premieres Tues., Feb. 16 at 8:30 p.m. Eastern.

We’re definitely gonna get more of that mustache.
