Orton vows to remain in the Royal Rumble despite fireball attack
This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw opened in a dimly lit room where Randy Orton was hiding away, under a mask, trying to shield us all from the horror he’s gone through in the past week. He suffered burns to his face following Alexa Bliss shooting a fireball directly into it on last week’s show, and he’s all messed up over it.
We were promised a response for that attack this week, and he sure did give us one.
The long and short of it was, well, he’s pissed that he spared Bliss — remember, he could have burned her to death like he did Bray Wyatt — but ultimately, he blames The Fiend for all this. Through his stunning intellect and superior wit, however, he surmised that Wyatt was simply trying to keep him from wrestling in the Royal Rumble, where he could win for a third time and go on to main event WrestleMania.
“Despite my sickening affliction, I vow to remain in the #RoyalRumble Match. I can only compete as long as I tolerate the pain, but … I enjoy the pain.”#WWERaw @RandyOrton pic.twitter.com/CYIAn8MoeP
