Reigns wants The Rock at WrestleMania 39

In so many ways, Roman Reigns and The Rock have been on a collision course. They’re family, and they’ve done their thing together in a WWE ring a time or two, but the natural progression of Reigns’ career almost dictates getting around to a big money match against one of the greatest of all time.

But when?

The sooner the better, one would think, but Reigns has different ideas:

“We’ll go to Hollywood for 39 and I think it just makes sense. He’s the biggest box office attraction for the big screen. So, to be able to take that and match it up with the biggest box office attraction in sports entertainment, I think some magic would be made.”

Doing it in Hollywood makes a great deal of sense for exactly the reasons Reigns stated here. It also means waiting another two years. The Rock will be 50-years-old at that point, and there’s no telling where Reigns will be in his career. It’s good to plan ahead, but as we saw in 2020, there’s just no telling what can happen.

Let’s hope all goes well and this happens, no matter when it may be.
