Now THAT’s how you chokeslam somebody

Matt Camp’s NXT Injury Report is pretty ho-hum again this week. Everybody’s expected to be back next week, and the closest we get to any medical jargon is “fractured”.

The reason for Jessi Kamea’s chest and back pain does tie in to another discussion the wrestle web had earlier this week, that being Nia Jax’s chokeslam of Dana Brooke on Raw. Jax lashed out at critics of her execution of the move, many of whom pointed out that Raquel González is regularly doing a pretty sweet version of it on Wednesday nights.

González & Dakota Kai’s win over Kamea & Aliyah ended with the move. Even though Jessi doesn’t land on her head, this looks just as devastating. Makes you wonder why WWE is even letting two women use the move when one’s looks so much better (and safer) than the other?

Anyway, here’s this week’s video, and the full list of what it covers:

  • Finn Bálor: Two fractured fingers; medically cleared as tolerated
  • Curt Stallion: Undisclosed injury to the back of the neck; expected to be cleared for next week
  • Jessi Kamea: Chest and back injuries; medically cleared as tolerated
