Our long national nightmare is over

Alicia Fox winning the 24/7 title after R-Truth’s latest “my bad, that one’s on me” moment involved trying to pull a reverse Nia Jax and enter the Women’s Royal Rumble?

That’s the kind of nonsense I can get behind. It’s Truth, it’s Foxy, it helps break up a long match that we love because it incorporates all of WWE’s variety show elements.

Peter Rosenberg winning the 24/7 title during what amounted to a PPV halftime show?

Actually, I did like that Rosenberg used Truth’s childhood hero John Cena to distract him. WWE got mentioned on Hot 97 … that’s better than not being mentioned on Hot 97, I guess. The Rosenberg “media empire” also extends to The Michael Kay Show, which airs on ESPN New York radio, the YES television network, and streams wherever you get your podcasts. And it was there that his reign of terror ended.

Truth has his baby back, and all is right in the world again.

Kind of worth it just to see Kay, the long-time TV voice of the New York Yankees, (barely) pretend to care about this silliness.
