AEW

Tonight All Elite Wrestling comes our way from Jacksonville, Florida. Last week The Mad King cheated to beat The Murderhawk Monster, Jon Moxley tried to do friendship math, Sting & Darby started a demolition company, MJF & Chris Jericho had their first match as The Inner Circle’s official tag team, Cody officially challenged Shaq to a match at Revolution with Red Velvet taking on Jade Cargill, Matt Hardy had some unsolicited advice for Hangman Page, Jungle Boy proved he doesn’t need a Dinosaur in his corner to win which is a good thing because FTR cut off Luchasuraus’ horns, no more Mr. Nice Doctor, and The Good Brothers and The Young Bucks defeated The Dark Order despite massive tension within the ranks.

This Week’s Headliner:

The AEW World Champion Kenny Omega will team up with his best friends, and current Impact tag team champions The Good Brothers to take on consistent pain in the butt Jon Moxley and his new friends PAC & Rey Fenix! Sure, Moxley, PAC, and Fenix don’t have a long history of friendship like their opponents, but what they do have in common is a deep sense of injustice ingrained in their bodies by the one and only Kenny Omega. They have all been screwed out of the title one way or another by the champion.

What is that old saying? The enemy of my enemy is my friend? Well, let’s just say that Kenny Omega has a lot of enemies, and they all want retribution.

The Title Scene:

The AEW Tag Team Champions will learn who their Revolution competition will be after tonight’s tag team battle royal. This match will feature all three Inner Circle teams, FTR, Dark Order, Private Party, Jurassic Express, The Acclaimed & Top Flight, AND current champs, The Young Bucks!

Why are the current champions in this match, you say? Well, if The Young Bucks win, they get to choose their own opponents at Revolution. If you squint, it makes sense.

Better start preparing yourself now for the Kenny Omega on a pole match between The Young Bucks and The Good Brothers.

AEW Women’s Championship is…somewhere. Doing something. Don’t overthink it. It’ll only make you mad. Let’s think about positive things like the fact that we finally get to see Thunder Rosa battle Dr. Britt Baker in an AEW ring. These two have almost single-handedly kept the Dynamite women’s division alive and kicking with their excellent promos and constant run-ins.

Dr. Britt Baker thinks she’s the top dog of the women’s division (ahem…she is) and that she deserves more attention and accolades (ahem…she does), and she doesn’t care whose jaw she has to dislocate to do it. Thunder Rosa thinks Britt is a joke and a bully and is prepared to make her name in AEW on top of her corpse. It’s a battle of unbridled ambition, and it’s gonna get nasty!

TNT Champion Darby Allin and Poppa Sting will presumably be somewhere prepping for their Revolution street fight against Team Taz. It looked like there were a lot of unbroken windows in that abandoned warehouse that could use a little baseball bat action.

Other Things to Keep an Eye On:

Last week, Eddie Kingston eeked out a win after he clocked Lance Archer in the face with some illegal hardware. This week, Lance Archer is looking for some revenge and will have a whole bevy of lumberjacks in his corner to look out for The Bunny and her shenanigans.

-Somehow, Matt Hardy has convinced poor Adam Page to tag with him tonight against the Chaos Project. Jeez, people! Haven’t you ever heard of a LONE Cowboy? Leave the man alone!

-Break out the champagne! The big night has finally arrived! It’s Kip Sabian & Penelope Ford’s wedding hosted by The Best Man Miro and his “trusty” butler Charles. I’m sure everything will go off without a hitch, and nothing terrible and messy will happen. It will always be a day that Kip and Penelope will remember!

Tune into AEW on TNT at 8 p.m. EST to see how this all plays out!
