SmackDown Discussion Post: 09.25.20

We have reached the final show before the Clash of Champions pay-per-view hits us this Sunday, Sept. 27. For the SmackDown Women’s Title we have Nikki Cross yet again taking on the champion, Bayley.

Cross has been unable to capture the title from Bayley on a few occasions in the past and this time she hopes it will be different. The SmackDown Women’s Champion may have Cross to face on Sunday but her recent turn on her best friend Sasha Banks as been in the forefront.

Last week, Banks returned in a backstage segment in a neckbrace as a result of Bayley’s initial attack on her a few weeks ago. Bayley would jump Banks from behind during this segment and once again exert her dominance over The Boss. What will Bayley have in store for Cross just two nights before they clash?

The advertised match for tonight is Alexa Bliss vs. Lacey Evans. Last week, Evans took on Cross in a one-on-one match as Bliss looked on from commentary. After the match, Evans mentioned the name of The Fiend which caused a trance for Bliss. She delivered a Sister Abigail to Evans which has set up for this match tonight.
