In this weekly series, we identify three Superstars (or groups of Superstars) who are on their way up, and three that are moving in the opposite direction. After a busy week that included Alexa Bliss choosing The Fiend over Nikki Cross, Chad Gable recruiting Otis for Alpha Academy, and a member of RETRIBUTION finally winning a match, a lot of fortunes were changed.

With that in mind, let’s see whose stock has decreased the most this week:

Stock Down #3: Natalya

Natalya has thrice failed to qualify for Team SmackDown at Survivor Series. These recent defeats are par for the course for Natalya in 2020. According to the data at CageMatch, she only has two wins this year out of 22 total matches on either Raw, SmackDown, or pay-per-view. She may consider herself to be The BOAT, but these results suggest that Team SmackDown isn’t missing much with her on the outside looking in.

Stock Down #2: Chelsea Green

Chelsea Green’s debut on SmackDown quickly turned into a nightmare. She suffered an injury during a fatal four way match and became an immediate afterthought for the rest of the fight. Now she will out for a while in order to recover from another broken arm.

Stock Down #1: Aleister Black

Last month, Aleister Black was curiously drafted to SmackDown in the same draft round as several low card wrestlers. Five weeks later, he has been completely irrelevant on the blue brand, wrestling in zero matches and barely receiving any television time. With yesterday’s shocking news that Zelina Vega (his wife) was released by WWE, Black’s future with the promotion is filled with uncertainty.

Now let’s see whose stock has increased the most this week:

Stock Up #3: The Mysterios & Murphy

With an assist from Murphy, the Mysterio family prevailed over Seth Rollins in the final chapter of their seemingly endless feud. Murphy is now set up for a match against Seth Rollins, while Rey and Dominik Mysterio can finally move on to some new opponents and stories in WWE.

Stock Up #2: Drew McIntyre

In 2019, Drew McIntyre fought Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 35 in a largely forgettable match that wasn’t a centerpiece of the card. Yet all it took was one angle on last night’s (Nov. 13) episode of SmackDown to spark heavy interest in a potential WrestleMania rematch between these two top stars. Some fans are guessing that The Rock will return for the big money match against Reigns on that night, but that scenario seems much more like wishful thinking than anything that has real legs behind it. If The Rock is not in the plans for WrestleMania 37, then Reigns versus McIntyre stands out as a leading candidate for the main event match.

However, that might be looking too far ahead. McIntyre has a chance to win the WWE championship on next week’s Raw, which would line him up for a match against Reigns next weekend (Nov. 22) at Survivor Series. I’m confident that Sheamus will make sure that doesn’t happen. Regardless, fans of McIntyre have every reason to expect that his strong push will continue well into 2021, with or without the WWE championship around his waist.

Stock Up #1: Riddle

After a rocky start on the Raw brand, Riddle picked up two pinfall victories on this week’s (Nov. 9) episode. His recent name change is still stupid, but this kind of booking suggests that Vince McMahon might be serious about pushing Riddle this time.
